Why settle for one doorbell camera when you can have two? The Eufy Dual Camera Video Doorbell aims one camera straight ahead and points another toward your porch floor. The result is crystal-clear outdoor security and package theft prevention without awkward fisheye footage.
Eufy Dual Cam Video Doorbell Review
SafeWise experts have years of firsthand experience testing the products we recommend. Learn how we test and review.
Eufy Dual Cam Doorbell vs. other video doorbells
Compared to other video doorbell cameras, the Eufy Dual Cam stands out for its 2K video resolution and, on the downside, its price. But part of that expense pays for the 16GB local storage hub, the Eufy HomeBase 2.
The Eufy Dual Camera Video Doorbell holds its own in terms of features, as it’s capable of playing automatic prerecorded messages to thwart porch pirates. We also like that it creates a catalog of familiar faces and comes in both battery and wired models.

The Eufy Dual Cam Doorbell’s flagship feature is its extra camera. Positioned at the bottom of the doorbell and angled toward the porch floor, this 1080p camera has a 97° field of view—which is a little narrow but catches most package deliveries.
The main camera records in 2K and has a 160° field of view. Footage from both cameras looks crystal clear—you can barely notice the difference in quality. Best of all, there’s no lag.
Package protection AI could use some work
Eufy sells several video doorbells, but none have the Dual Camera Doorbell’s package-protection AI. The software recognizes packages and sends push notifications to let you know a delivery has arrived. It also alerts you when someone approaches the package or loiters so you can tell them to go away via the built-in speaker or automatic responses.
But if our tests are any indication, this AI needs to work on its package recognition. The Eufy Dual Camera Doorbell was less likely to notice packages if they didn’t arrive in a cardboard box. The AI feature also worked best when the box was front-and-center in the frame, so if delivery drivers tried to hide a package under a chair or behind a plant, the AI was thoroughly bamboozled.
On the other hand, Eufy’s AI is supposed to learn from its own false alarms and missed opportunities, so it may improve with prolonged use.
Local storage only
If you want to use cloud storage, you’re out of luck. The Eufy Dual Camera Doorbell isn’t compatible with Eufy’s cloud storage plans. On the other hand, this saves you some money in monthly fees by storing footage on the included 16GB HomeBase 2.

Tons of adjustable settings in app
We love seeing how many cool settings and features are available in the Eufy app. The loitering detection feature is one of our favorites, since it lets people know they’re being filmed and encourages them to move along. Here’s what you can expect:
- Activity zones
- Stacked video footage or picture-in-picture (PIP) footage
- Automation and routines
- Loitering detection range, length of time, and custom response
- Package sensitivity
- Familiar faces
- Power manager
- Automatic responses
Easy installation
Both of our product testers agree that installing and setting up the battery-powered Eufy Dual Cam Doorbell is easy-peasy. It comes with all the necessary hardware, two mounting brackets, and a nifty stencil to help you drill properly spaced holes.
You can view the entire installation in our video tutorial: Eufy Dual Cam Doorbell Step-By-Step Installation Instructions.
Eufy has recently released a wired version of the Dual Camera Doorbell too. Installing that model requires pre-existing doorbell wiring.
Final word
The Eufy Dual Cam Video Doorbell proved to be a high-quality option during our tests, but be prepared for its AI to make mistakes as it learns what packages look like. All in all, if you don’t mind the local storage requirement, this is a great video doorbell.
Eufy Dual Cam Doorbell FAQ
The battery lasts 3 to 6 months, depending on how often you check the live stream or get alerts.
First, remove the camera from the mounting plate by inserting the removal pin into a small hole under the lower camera. (The pin should point straight into the air.) Detach the doorbell and charge it inside using the included USB adapter cable.
Yes, the Eufy Dual Cam Video Doorbell works with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Unlike some Eufy cameras, this one doesn’t work with Apple HomeKit.
